Hyperion

This is the 1st Hyperion daylily to  bloom this year - I love this daylily  - it stands about 40 inches tall and has an intoxicating smell - it's  planted with Fragrant Cloud  and Wild Blue Yonder roses  - wonderful when they all bloom at the same time.  East Texas, with it's high humidity  and clay soil,  is not ideal for roses but while these have not flourished they have remained.

One of the 1st yellows in the front yard  - love the green throat and white band on the edge.

Yesterday's 1st bloom is gone  but two more in it's place.

The scent is fabulous!
